My cousin introduced a video to me today from a poetry slam contest, and I think it’s incredibly important for everyone to watch. Sons” by Rudy Francisco and Terisa Siagatonu delves into the topics of rape culture and the judicial system for juvenile delinquents. It’s hard for me to find the words to describe it, because it left me speechless. Every issue they discuss they hit they nail on the head. The points they made about Steubenville were incredibly accurate, and even more haunting because of the rising situation in Missouri. This is by far one of the most powerful videos I have watched in a long time, and I hope to hear what you all think of it.
